Can BroadBand Light (BBL)™ Therapy Erase My Spider Veins?

Can BroadBand Light (BBL)™ Therapy Erase My Spider Veins?

Do these red, purple, and blue web-like spider veins stop you from feeling beautiful?  Approximately half of Americans have spider veins that are not only embarrassing, but painful, too.

Though spider veins aren’t usually hazardous to your health, most people wish to improve them to have radiant skin again. Broadband Light (BBL)™  therapy is a gentle, noninvasive treatment that whisks away spider veins while rejuvenating your skin.

Look no further for clear skin – Shantique Med Spa provides BBL to patients in Torrance, California, and beyond.

Why you have spider veins

Your skin was line-free, smooth, and supple-looking when you were a child. But then, decades passed, and it experienced changes that lead to imperfections — like spider veins.

Spider veins are caused by unhealthy valves in your veins. Instead of allowing normal blood to flow to the heart, the broken valves cause blood to get backed up, leading to spider veins.

Common risk factors for spider veins include:

Spider veins most commonly occur on the legs, face, and chest.

Innovative, dual-lamp technology

Sciton® is at the forefront of BBL technology and works to revitalize your skin from the inside out. Although lasers use a single beam of light, BBL uses a variety of wavelengths of light to penetrate multiple skin layers at a time.

Sciton’s advanced dual-lamp technology gently heats your skin, sending targeted light energy into your dermis. The light energy breaks down pigment and blood vessels that your body flushes out through its lymphatic system over the next few weeks following treatment. This innovative technology ramps up collagen production and alters the DNA of your skin cells for more youthful, vibrant skin.

BBL can treat the following skin concerns:

BBL can be safely used on all parts of the body, but it’s most commonly used on the face.

How many treatments do I need?

Everyone’s skin is different and reacts to treatment at different rates. Depending on the size of your spider vein(s) or skin concern(s), you’ll need a series of three to six treatments to get the results you want. Treatments must be spaced about a month apart.

Pain-free and no downtime

It seems that most cosmetic treatments today come with some degree of pain — but not BBL. You can feel confident and comfortable when you come in for treatment because no pain is required. Even though it may be slightly uncomfortable, our patients tolerate it well and are in and out of our office in approximately 30 minutes.

One of the selling points of BBL is that there’s no downtime. Immediately following your appointment, you can return to work or your social life without anyone knowing you had treatment. You might experience some redness in the treatment area, but this generally goes away in a few hours.

Say goodbye to pesky spider veins with BBL. Call 310-530-7244 to learn more, or book your consultation online.
