Halo Laser® Q & A

What is the Halo laser?

Halo™ is a revolutionary laser system that offers a broad array of treatment options to deliver unparalleled anti-aging results. The first of its kind, Halo uses a hybrid fractional laser to deliver two different wavelengths of light energy to the target zone at the same time. This results in advanced laser treatments with minimal downtime and maximum skin revitalization and rejuvenation.

Which conditions can the Halo laser address?

The team of experts at Shantique Med Spa uses the Halo laser to improve the overall tone and texture of your skin and to address a wide range of skin concerns, such as:

  • Dark spots
  • Hyperpigmentation
  • Sun damage
  • Wrinkles and fine lines
  • Enlarged pores
  • Dull skin

Halo treats skin damage that you can’t see within the deeper layers of your skin to improve your skin’s health and radiance.

What do Halo treatments feel like?

Before beginning your Halo treatment, your Shantique Med Spa specialist applies a topical anesthetic to the target area. The Halo system is also equipped with integrated cooling technology so that you won’t experience much discomfort during your procedure.

You may feel a little heat and prickling during your Halo session. Most patients find these sensations tolerable. You may feel warmth under your skin for up to 30 minutes after your treatment.

How much downtime is required with Halo?

Your Shantique Med Spa specialist gives you specific instructions about how to protect and care for your skin in the 24 hours following your Halo procedure. Most patients can resume normal activities after the first day.

In the days following your treatment, your skin will peel. However, you can still apply makeup. Your skin may first develop a bronze color and should start to peel significantly at that point. Around day four, most of your fresh, new skin is visible.

Within 2-3 weeks, you’ll see a dramatic improvement in your skin. Cellular regeneration continues for months so gradual improvements continue to appear.

How long will my results last?

Halo’s cutting-edge technology offers stunning skin rejuvenation results that last for several years. Additional treatments can enhance your results.

You should always wear sunscreen to protect your skin and keep it looking healthy and youthful.
