Take Your Skin Care Routine to the Next Level with Regular VI Peels

Did you know your skin accounts for 15% of your body weight? As your body’s largest organ, your skin regulates your body temperature and protects your muscles. Your skin is a telltale sign of changes in your health – which is why it's important to keep your complexion looking fresh, youthful, and healthy.

Your skin care routine might already consist of cleansing and moisturizing. But for most of us, this isn’t enough.

Regular VI Peels are a miraculous way to supercharge your skin with a synergistic blend that improves some of the most combative skin issues. Shantique Med Spa is happy to provide VI peels to patients in Torrance, California, and beyond who want picture-perfect skin.

More than your average peel

Designed by the Vitality Institute, VI peels describe a medium-strength chemical peel that penetrates the epidermis to your second layer, the dermis. VI peels are packed with a blend of impressive acids and minerals to exfoliate your skin and regenerate new proteins for beautiful, touchable skin.

VI peels improve your skin by:

VI peels have a great reputation because they're virtually pain-free and provide flawless results in skin tone, texture, and clarity.

What’s involved

VI peels take about 30 minutes to complete and don’t involve pain, making it a comfortable option for patients with low pain tolerance. To start the procedure, your skin technician will cleanse your skin, removing makeup, dirt, and impurities.

Next, the VI peel is applied in two layers. You may experience some tingling during the first layer, while the second is less noticeable. The whole peel is designed to be kept on for four to six hours, so you’ll leave our office with it on and wash it off in the comfort of your home.

We send you home with a take-home kit, which explains aftercare instructions along with cleansing towelettes, SPF, and hydrocortisone cream.

Meet its synergistic blend

VI peels include a synergistic blend composed of:

Trichloroacetic acid and phenol

These two components are powerful skin smoothers. Together, these ingredients create micro-injuries to your skin, resulting in regeneration and improved collagen and elastin production.

Salicylic acid

You might have heard of salicylic acid if you use acne-fight products. Salicylic acid clears your pores and deep cleanses your skin to remove impurities and bacteria that lead to breakouts. This component of a VI peel helps you get smooth and clear skin.

Vitamin C

This compelling antioxidant helps improve sun damage and pigmentation, along with an overall improvement in your skin’s appearance. Vitamin C is known for its collagen-boosting properties, which can plump your complexion and erase wrinkles.

Retinoic acid

As a derivative of vitamin A, retinoic acid helps reduce acne, inflammation, and oil production. This is a vital part of VI peel’s anti-aging properties to firm and volumize your complexion.

Understanding the peeling process

You might have shied away from chemical peels in the past to avoid shedding skin in public. VI peels have made the peeling process easier and more comfortable than ever, allowing you to resume your normal life while reaping skin benefits. Here’s what to expect.

The next 24 hours

It’s normal to notice some redness and swelling immediately following your VI peel. Although you can return to work immediately after your appointment, you should refrain from strenuous exercise and any sweat-causing activities. Before bed, wash your face with a mild cleanser, and use the VI towelette and moisturizer to calm your skin.

The day after your peel

Chemical peels increase cellular turnover causing your skin to be vulnerable and prone to sunburn. Apply the VI SPF 30 in the morning to provide your skin with a shield of protection. If you notice irritation or dryness, apply the VI moisturizer as needed.

For the next 3-7 days afterward

You’ll start to notice the beautiful results of the peel taking effect during this time. Make sure to continue your aftercare process to ensure you get the best results from your treatment.

You might notice your skin starting to peel, which is a completely normal and healthy part of a chemical peel. Do not pick at your skin, and continue to use the post-care towelette nightly.

Though most people experience peeling, it’s important to note that not everyone peels. If you don’t experience peeling, don’t fret – the VI peel is still working, and you’ll still experience beautiful results.

Take your skin care routine to the next level, and get radiant, touchable skin. Schedule your VI peel today by calling 310-530-7244 or booking online.
